Brazil traveling: Santo AndrE and Sao Bernardo do Campo

Sao Paulo state comprises some of the biggest cities of Brazil, amongst them Santo Andre (around 700,000 inhabitants) and Sao Bernardo do Campo (773,099 inhabitants).

Santo Andre is not just an important industrial center of Sao Paulo. Santo Andre has one of the greatest cultural and historical treasures of Brazil: Paranapiacaba village, a national heritage property. The English architecture of the town, the temperate climate and buildings like Bom Jesus de Paranapiacaba Church and the Funicular and the Castelinho Museums are examples of what make this village so important.

Sao Bernardo do Campo - created by the arrival of the first italian immigrants to Sao Paulo region - is not only the biggest automobile brazilian center, it is also an important cultural center and has several exotic parks with Brazilian and local fauna, namely birds.

The airports
Santo Andre and Sao Bernardo do Campo are served by Sao Paulo Guarulhos Intl. Guarulhos Intl serves all international destinations and some Brazilian cities.

In some flights involving Rio de Janeiro and some other brazilian cities, there is also Sao Paulo Congonhas Intl (CGH), located 9 miles/14 km awat from the city.

Transfers from the airport
There is a wide service of taxis and there are buses every few minutes to several destinations including Santo Andre and Sao Bernardo do Campo.
