The location of the hotels
There are plenty of good hotels in Iguassu Falls, either in the Brazilian side or in the Argentinean. The final choice depends a lot upon what you want.
In the Brazilian side, most of the hotels are located near the road that surrounds the Iguassu river, between the falls and the city of Foz do Iguacu, or in this very city. The distances from the hotels to the Falls are relatively short: 15-20 Kms (miles) at most. See Map of Iguassu Falls region. This main Brazilian road is signalled with the number 13, on the map.
In the Argentinean side, most of the hotels are also bordering the park and not far from the river, between the city of Puerto Igussu (or in this city) and the Falls. See: Map of Iguassu Falls region. This main Argentinean road is signalled with the number 14, on the map.
- Easter as well as January and February are high season periods. Hotel prices in these periods are high, and reservations should be done early enough. If you don’t like crowded places and if you bet in low hotel prices, these are not the best months to visit the Iguassu Falls.
- Though you can look for hotels either in the Brazilian or in the Argentinean side of the Iguassu Falls, the Brazilian offer is much wider. Avoid accommodation in Paraguay: Ciudad del Est is too unsafe.
- You can stay just one night, or even arrive at the morning and depart in the late afternoon, for a quick visit. But that will bee much tiring, and you will just get a big picture of the place. The region offers other possibilities, which demand a night in a hotel, at least.

If you want to privilege the location and the easy access to the Falls, then the Tropical Cataratas Hotel, is a perfect choice (in luxury category). It’s the only hotel located in the very heart of the Brazilian Park, just a couple of minutes from the viewing sites, on foot.

Note: the location is obviously important but not truly determinant, in the Iguassu Falls region. Local transport system is rather elaborated, and even good. You can rely on the local buses and taxis, and as distances between the many hotels and the Falls and related spots are small, location loses importance.

Also in the luxury category, in agreeable locations between the city of Foz do Iguacu, the airport and the access to Argentine, you can consider hotels as Bourbon & Towers and the Bourbon Iguassu Golf Club Resort. This last hotel has its own golf greens and other excellent sport facilities.
In the very city (at downtown) there is also a top hotel: the International Foz.

Cheap hotels in Iguassu Falls – Brazil
There are many good and affordable hotels in Iguassu Falls neighbourhoods. It’s easy to find hotels on the range of $40-$50 /person a day, most of the year. There are, inclusively, nice hotels around $25-$30 person/night, though not in all seasons of the year. In the high seasons (Easter, and January and February), the prices are much higher.

The Sheraton International Iguazu hotel, in the Argentinean side of the Iguassu is the main reference, in the luxury category. It has a strategic location on the Argentinean side of the Falls, with amazing views, at a short distance from the Devil’s Throat.

In the luxury and expensive category, Iguazu Grand Hotel and Casino is also a top reference in the Argentine side of the Iguassu Falls.

For a budget hotel on the Argentinean side, consider, for instance, the Iguazu Falls Lodge (prices in the range $35 -$80 – a small fraction of the prices of the Sheraton and the Iguazu Grand Hotel and Casino - are very frequent most of the year). BW Casablanca Iguazu Falls is another option.
