Best time of the year to vist Brasilia

The weather is a key factor when planning a visit to Brasilia.

Brasilia has two well defined seasons: the dry season and the wet season.

The dry season begins in May – a wonderful month to visit Brasilia; air temperatures are pleasant and the gardens and the city are more beautiful.

June is also a good month, contrary to July, due to very low levels of humidity. Avoid July, August and most of all September. These months have very low humidity and very high temperatures in the daytime and cold temperatures during the night.

With the coming of the rain in October, the weather becomes more pleasant, and the city more beautiful. October may be a good month to visit Brasilia, but it varies each year.

Rainfalls can be heavy and long, namely from November to February. That’s not a good period to visit the city, either.

March is a transitional month, often a good one to visit Brasilia.

For clues about the weather see the graphs below. But be careful in interpreting them, especially the air temperature values; they are average values, and may not mean much, especially during the July-September period, when daytime and nighttime temperatures are very different.
